40,000 Ethiopians Received Exit Visa in Saudi ArabiaMay 29, 2017 - Close to 40,000 undocumented Ethiopians living in Saudi Arabia have so far obtained exit visa to return home, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), reports FBC. Meles Alem, Spokesperson of MoFA, told FBC today that a team of 12 diplomats has left for Saudi today to facilitate conditions for their safe return. The 90-day amnesty period granted by Saudi Arabia last March will expire at the end of the coming June. Ethiopia has been working for the safe return of its citizens from the Kingdom by forming a National Task Force. Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia this week signed domestic workers' recruitment agreement.
