Before Ryerson University students begin fall classes, a task force will announce what actions it believes should be taken to deal with the legacy of the Toronto school's namesake, Egerton Ryerson. Any renaming of Ryerson University will also involve its eight faculties, 141 programs and 11 varsity teams in men's and women's sports. Support is available for anyone affected by their experience at residential schools, and those who are triggered by the latest reports. A national Indian Residential School Crisis Line has been set up to provide support for former students and those affected.
