In Habiganj, a female student committed suicide taking poison in Lakhai upazila after she failed the SSC exams. Parash Moni, daughter of Jamal Miah from Begunai village, appeared in this year's SSC examinations from Madna Model High School, said Lakhai police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saidul Islam Monir. In Sirajganj, Mafia Khatun committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room in Puthia village of Ullahpara upazila after she was unsuccessful in the examination. In Thakurgaon, a female student committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room in Tinua village of Haripur upazila. 1,690,523 students out of 2,040,028 have successfully passed the SSC and equivalent exams this year, according to the authorities.
