Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner (Double Mooring Zone) Ashiqur Rahman said they were arrested in the early hours of Monday from Pahartali Bazar in the city. The arrested persons are engaged in different occupations around Pahartali Bazar and they all live in that area, said Ashiqur Rahman to bdnews24.com. A total of 18 persons have been arrested so far in the case, Ashiqur Rahman. Local Ward Councillor Saber Ahmed, Jatiya Party leader Osman Khan and Jubo Dal leader Shawkat KhanRaju were accused in the case. The police have already arrested Osman and Raju.
