SOUTH COTABATO, Philippines — Four persons were injured when a helicopter crash-landed a few minutes after takeoff in Sitio Glandang, Barangay Kablon, Tupi yesterday. The pilot, Danny Dennis Figueroa, foreigners Jorge Gonzales and Cecile Donaire and their Filipina companion Alicia Bengco were taken to the Howard Hubbard Memorial Hospital for treatment. The passengers are executives of DOLE Stanfilco Inc., who chartered the helicopter for an inspection of the company’s plantations in Polomolok and Tupi. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines dispatched Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board inspectors Rommel Ronda and Henry Paradero to look into the incident. – Rudy Santos
