Confirming the detentions, Rangamati Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jahedul Haque Rony told the Dhaka Tribune that these two were identified as Chaching Marma, 29, and Ungshingnu Marma. During the raid, one G3 rifle, 24 rounds of bullets, two magazines, and an ammunition pouch were recovered from them. On the other hand, two other men were detained with 980 rounds of bullets during a stop and search at a security check post in Baghaihat area of the district’s Baghaichhari Upazila around 12pm Wednesday. The duo was identified as Karnamohan Tripura and Sagar Tripura.
