The suspects were identified as Badsha Mia, 36, Md Jabed, 24, Md Rabin, 19, and Md Ibrahim, 30. All five are CNG-run auto-rickshaw drivers by profession. After receiving a phone call on the emergency number 999 around 2am, police rescued the victim and made the arrests. The victim was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for medical tests and a case was filed over the incident.
