TACLOBAN CITY –– At least four fishermen were rescued in the waters off Southern Leyte on Tuesday, four days after their motorized pump boat malfunctioned. The rescued fishermen were identified as Jaffrey Lamac, 34; Rocky Abenales, 23; Jemar Loyola, 24; and Jonathan Jaca, 16. The report of the San Juan town police said the four fishermen were on board a motorized pump that went out to sea on Jan. 11. While they were fishing within the jurisdiction of Abuyog town, Leyte, their motorboat developed engine trouble. The fishermen’s boat just kept floating until it reached the waters off Barangay Bobon A in San Juan.
