In its forecast yesterday, Catarman, Northern Samar, Zamboanga City, Cotabato City and Dumangas, Iloilo were expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius heat index. A “danger level” heat index ranges from 42 to 51 degrees Celsius. Storm outside PARMeanwhile, a tropical storm is being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
