Ever since, studio executives have been scrambling to piece together any franchises that look even vaguely connected in order to create their very own cinematic universe. Here are four upcoming universes about to explode into being. Like Batman v Superman, Godzilla battling King Kong is a concept more at home in a playground sandbox rather than a cinema screen. The idea doesn’t really need an introduction, let alone an entire cinematic universe dedicated to justifying why these two unholy behemoths share a mutual dislike.
