PhotoFour people were killed on Saturday after a pickup truck plunged 60 feet off the San Diego-Coronado Bridge into a crowd gathered at a park below, The Associated Press reported. The California Highway Patrol said the driver had been taken to a hospital and would be arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, The Associated Press reported. The pickup had been traveling north on Interstate 5 and had exited toward the bridge when it went airborne, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. It crashed around 3:45 p.m. in front of a stage where a band had been playing at a festival, witnesses said. Witnesses also said the truck landed on a vendor’s tent that had been set up for the festival.
