NBI Director Melvin Matibag said the suspects were former workers of Philippine offshore gaming operator or POGO hubs, which were shut down by the government for engaging in illegal activities. The company was allegedly posing as a call center, but actually engaged in a large-scale social engineering operation targeting bank accounts.
