Olalekan Adetayo and Ade AdesomojuTHE 32 political parties whose deregistration by the Independent National Electoral Commission was affirmed by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday have resolved to appeal the judgment. National Chairman of the United Patriots, Chukwudi Ezeobika, disclosed this on behalf of all the affected political parties in an interview with one of our correspondents shortly after the court affirmed the deregistration of the parties. On June 3, 2020, the court granted permission to the Alliance for New Nigeria to join the remaining 31 political parties to make 32. The UP’s chairman however told one of our correspondents that the 32 political parties have instructed their counsel to appeal the judgment.
