Toronto police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with a Sunday afternoon hit-and-run in the city’s east end that left a 4-year-old boy in hospital with life-threatening injuries. At around 1:30 p.m., the child entered the road and was hit by a motorcycle on Victoria Park Ave. at Adair Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E. The driver and his female passenger fled after the crash, police said. The boy, who was with his mother, was rushed to the Hospital for Sick Children with critical injuries to his upper body and head. Members of the Traffic Services Hit and Run Unit arrested the man Monday and seized a 2016 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle, the vehicle allegedly driven by the suspect at the time of the incident, said a press release from police. Police refused to name the suspect in order “to protect the integrity of the investigation.”ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW
