From The Tribune staff reportsFAIRFIELD — A Fairfield man was found shot and killed on Saturday Oct. 14. At 11:53 p.m., Jefferson County deputies responded to a report of a person down in the roadway in the 200 block of 52 Street in Fairfield. Deputies arrived and found an injured man being attended to by witnesses. The victim has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s office but is awaiting notification of family before releasing their identity. If anyone has information about this incident, they are asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
