MANILA, Philippines — At least 31 Nazareno devotees were reported hurt in the annual thanksgiving procession of the faithful at Quiapo Church, Manila early Sunday morning. Medical tents were stationed around Quiapo Church in anticipation of the flocking of Nazarene devotees. As early as 1:00 a.m., the Manila Police District closed off roads along the procession route. Thousands also flock for the "translacion" in celebration of the Black Nazarene's feast day every January 9.
