Thirty organisations have won the Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017, for their outstanding contributions to promoting youth employability, ending violence against women and promoting education. The second edition of the Joy Bangla Youth Award was held at the Sheikh Hasina National Youth Complex in Savar on Friday evening. Young Bangla Convenor Nahim Razzak inaugurated the two-day programme at 3:30pm. This year, Young Bangla, a youth platform of the NGO Centre for Research and Information (CRI), nominated 50 of the top youth-led organisations for the second edition of Joy Bangla Youth Award. CRI Executive Director Sabbir Bin Shams said the Joy Bangla Award is not only a prize for positive work, but also an initiative to encourage youths to become entrepreneurs.
