About thirty police officers were on Wednesday decorated with new ranks by the Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP John Bassey Abang, at the state headquarters Amowbia. This follows the approval by the Police Service Commission for the promotion of senior police officers on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu. He added that the promotion is in line with the Inspector-general of Police resolve towards boosting the morale of Police officers for effective service delivery. It is also based on merit, clean records of Service, seniority, and dedication to duty. Responding on behalf of the newly promoted Officers, CSP Samuel Anyaehe Nwachukwu thanked the IGP and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of this promotion and also promised to redouble their efforts in discharging their duties professionally.
