3-vehicle crash leaves 1 dead, closes eastbound 105 Freeway in South L.A.


A three-vehicle crash early Sunday left one woman dead and closed all lanes of the eastbound 105 Freeway in South L.A. for three hours, the California Highway Patrol said. The victim was a 31-year-old Latina, said Officer Monica Posada of the CHP. No other injuries were reported, and a description of the vehicles was not given. The 2 a.m. crash occurred on the 105 Freeway at South Central Avenue. All eastbound traffic was halted until about 5 a.m., when only the two left lanes remained blocked, according to Sigalert.com.
