Only three regulars from the Indian side – Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja – took part in the optional training session that lasted for around one-and-a-half hours. Hanuma Vihari, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant also practised under the watchful eyes of head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun and batting coach Vikram Rathour. Another interesting part of India’s training session was Ashwin bowling left-handed for a while before going on to bat. A bruised Bangladesh, on the other hand, had most of their regulars attending the training session. Watching India’s pacers doing brilliantly was some sort of an inspiration for Rahi.
