Separately, in north Kashmir's Bandipora, two policemen were injured on Sunday when militants fired on a search party of security forces. A cordon and search operation was launched by the forces at Wahab Parray Mohalla in Hajin area of the district after receiving specific intelligence input about the presence of militants there, a police official said. However, taking advantage of the stone pelting, the militants managed to escape. The injured policemen were taken to a hospital for treatment and are stable and the cordon and search operation has concluded.
