Five persons, including three militants, were killed in three separate incidents in the Kashmir Valley on Thursday. A local commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit, Asif Malik alias Abu Ukasha, and a soldier were killed in a gunfight in Gasigund village of Anantnag district in south Kashmir. In another gunfight in Panzan village of Badgam district, security forces killed two militants but their identity was being ascertained. Authorities suspended train services between Bannihal and Baramulla towns and also snapped mobile Internet connectivity in south Kashmir and Srinagar as a precaution. Authorities have suspended mobile internet services in affected areas in south and central Kashmir, including Srinagar.
