THE Police on Friday arraigned three middle-aged men before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, over alleged possession of weapons. The defendants – Ochanni Joseph, Raymond Kakaan and Ayila Ijir, are all residents of Alagbado in Lagos. They are being charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of dangerous weapons to which they pleaded not guilty. Nwangwu alleged that the defendants were caught with one AK 47 rifle, two barre-ta pistols and eight rounds of ammunition. The prosecutor said the offence contravened Sections 330 (d) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
