The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway near the upazila’s Pathalia area early on Monday, said Golam Faruk, inspector of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station. The dead were paddy harvesting workers. The truck overturned on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway after it veered out of the driver’s control, killing two people on the spot. Another died on his way to hospital, said Inspector Faruk. The injured have been admitted to Gopalganj General Hospital, he said.
