KORONADAL CITY – Three police officers were killed in a vehicular accident along the national highway in Barangay Silay in Polomolok town in South Cotabato on Monday. Franklin Alvero, South Cotabato police provincial director, identified the slain policemen as SPO2 Arnel Jalis, SPO2 Romar Vistavilla, both assigned in Koronadal City, and SPO2 Henry Baliao of Tupi town PNP. ADVERTISEMENTAt least 20 other police trainees on board the dump truck and passengers of Hi-Ace van were injured. Initial investigation showed that the car overtook the dump truck but was hit on its side, forcing the sedan to skid toward the opposing lane and hit the passenger van. The injured are now getting treatment at Mindanao Medical Center in General Santos City, Polomolok municipal hospital and Howard Hospital.
