Three people are on the run after a police pursuit ended with a pick-up truck on fire and an officer in hospital in Burlington. The incident began around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, when Halton Regional Police officers tried to stop a Chevy pick-up truck at Walkers Line and Mainway. Officers stopped their pursuit when the pick-up hit speeds over 140 km/h. The suspects eventually stopped the pick-up on Phoebe Crescent, where they set it on fire.
