BigstockTwo cops get injured during attackA group of suspected drug dealers swooped on police and snatched away an arrestee who was wanted in a narcotics case in Godagari upazila, Rajshahi on Friday. However, the wanted man is still on the run, said Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police of Godagari Circle Md Asaduzzaman confirming the incident. As they were preparing to return with him on motorcycles, about 10-12 men attacked the policemen and snatched the man away. “A case will be filed against those involved.”Residents of the village, however, claimed that the attackers were local bootleg liquor manufacturers and distributors. Their majority of buyers come from the other villages under Godagari upazila.
