I'm 80% sure I'm going to well up in glee when James Newton Howard's Unbreakable theme kicks in during the first Glass trailer. No, all due respect to Blumhouse's The First Purge, the first trailer for Glass would be a most appropriate debut for the pre-trailer reel Walt Disney and Pixar's The Incredibles 2. Walt Disney allowed Shyamalan and Universal to set Split in the same world as Unbreakable. As such, deals were made and Glass will be a Universal movie in North America and a Disney movie overseas when it opens in January of 2019. Both M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable and Brad Bird's The Incredibles use superhero tropes and comic book thematic elements to tell a somewhat grounded and adult mid-life crisis drama.
