And after a string of standout performances by 2016 number-eight pick, Marquese Chriss, the Warriors couldn’t afford to let him go. Throughout the preseason Chriss combined athleticism, energy, and rebounding, with an ability to make plays for others on offense that had many pundits scratching their heads.
