UDF workers staged demonstrations in front of Government offices in the 140 assembly constituencies and read out chargesheets against the Government. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chennithala accused the LDF Government of destroying the economic sector of the State and bringing its development to a grinding halt. The Government’s achievements in the 24 months it was in power were the 25 political murders that took place and the first place it secured in crime rates, Mr. Chennithala said. He said the Government had not only failed to implement new development projects, but did not show any mercy in grounding several projects launched when the UDF was in power. Later in the evening, Mr. Chennithala inaugurated a public meeting at the Gandhi Park here to mark the conclusion of the UDF’s ‘betrayal day’.
