According to Pol Maj Gen Padungsak, the 29 Thais had contacted the embassy between Nov 27, 2025 and Jan 9 this year. Officials said the victims had been deceived into taking jobs linked to scam centres operating in several locations across Cambodia. “I would like to warn the public, especially young people, to be extremely cautious when seeking jobs online,” Mr Panyapong said.
