A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the passengers from Dubai, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 4:30am on Sunday. Tahera Khandaker, deputy general manager (public relations) of the airlines, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. Earlier on May 27, 214 Bangladeshis returned home from the UAE by a special Air Arabia flight. Covid-19, a severe acute respiratory illness caused by a new strain of coronavirus, has claimed 262 lives and infected 33,896 people in the UAE as of Sunday, according to Worldometer.
