DIGOS CITY—The Davao Region saw its COVID-19 cases zoom past 1,000 on Wednesday (July 22). According to a Department of Health (DOH) report, 25 new cases were reported on Wednesday which brought the region’s COVID-19 tally to 1,018. Among the new cases, 10 are from Davao City, four from Davao del Norte, four from Davao Oriental, four from Davao del Sur and three from Davao Occidental. Of the six recoveries, four are from Davao City, and one each from Davao del Sur and Davao Oriental. Health officials also announced that there are 417 active COVID-19 cases in the region as of July 22.
