more-inTwenty five persons sustained injuries in the jallikattu held at L. Abishekapuram in Lalgudi taluk on Sunday. The tamers were allowed on the arena only after the medical teams examined them. Police sources said 25 persons sustained injuries which included 12 tamers. Six of the injured were referred to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital in Tiruchi and to the Government Hospital at Lalgudi. The remaining injured persons were treated as out-patients at the spot by the medical teams.
