Descend along the ridge, then follow signed paths and tracks back to the start. Shortly before the pillar, turn left on to a path that descends southeast through a gate across rock and grass. Turn right at a roundabout onto the L3001, then look for a right turn signed to the 'Woods'. Now turn left and climb out of the trees, joining an elevated boardwalk on top of the ridge.
