RAJSHAHI, Oct 20, 2023 (BSS)- More than 25,000 grassroots farmers will begiven ideas and knowledge related to adopt climate-smart agriculture methodsfor making their farming outputs profitable in the region, including itsBarind area. They will also attain practical knowledge about boosting irrigationefficiency and farm productivity besides availing and expanding local agro-business opportunities through connecting a strong public-private stakeholdernetwork. DASCOH Foundation will implement the project, technically supported by theSyngenta Foundation while financially supported by the Hongkong and ShanghaiBanking Corporation Limited. Country Director of Syngenta Foundation Farhad Zamil and Jahangir Alam Khanfrom DASCOH Foundation also joined the project inception meeting. There are provisions of empowering women and youth in agriculture throughcreating job opportunities and agro-entrepreneurship programmes.
