The gold bars, weighing 24 kilograms, were recovered from Boeing 737-800 aircraft Meghdoot of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Wednesday night. The team found the gold bars, each weighing one kg, from four seats of the aircraft's business class, he said. Wrapped up with black Scotch tape, the gold bars were concealed inside handles of the seats on which trays of food are kept, the CIID official said. The market price of the gold is estimated around Tk17 crore, he added.
