Police said the fire started at 9.30pm at the Suning Farm in Moo 1 village in Tambon Saphang in Khao Yoi district. Firefighters, volunteers and troops from the 15th Army Circle took about a half-hour to put out the blaze after it engulfed the entire building. Urai Ngumphoka, 53, the wife of owner Suning, said the fire burned down one of five nursery buildings at the farm. The building was used to nurture 24,600 chicks for seven days before selling them to chicken farmers. Police have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
