Sonipat: A 23-year-old woman was abducted, gang-raped, murdered and her brutally mutilated body dumped at a place where dogs bit off it, following which the police have arrested two men, including one who they claimed was her “jilted lover”. Earlier, a passerby had noticed the body of the victim in the Urban Estate area of Rohtak on Thursday. The woman, learnt to be a divorcee, had been kidnapped from Sonipat on 9 May and taken to Rohtak in a car, police said. The victim’s parents had lodged a missing complaint at the Sonipat police station. In a recent order, the Supreme Court had held that the convicted in that case will hang to death.
