In a shocking incident, as many as 225 children from a tribal school in Maharashtra's Washim Degaon have been found COVID-19 positive. A total of 327 students study in the school, which is specifically for tribal children. This comes as Maharashtra reported 8,807 new COVID-19 cases and 80 deaths on Wednesday, as per the state health department. The total number of coronavirus cases in the state reached 21,21,119 with the addition of new cases. It may be noted that in wake of the rising COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, fresh restrictions and curbs have been imposed in several districts and cities in the state.
