A man who allegedly set a Melbourne bank ablaze, injuring more than 20 people, is under police guard in hospital. Emergency crews were called to the Commonwealth Bank in Springvale on Friday just before midday. "Police responded to reports that a man had allegedly set fire to a Springvale Road bank in Springvale about 11.30am today," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said in a statement. "The man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition under police guard. Police have closed Springvale Road between Balmoral Avenue and Windsor Avenue.
