After weeks of casting about for the best way to go after Mr. Biden, President Trump’s campaign has in recent days burst forth with an explosion of different lines of attack, many of them false. A Biden presidency, Mr. Trump said, would bring chaos to the streets of America, embolden socialists, raise taxes and destroy the economy. Thursday was a recitation of charges of plagiarism against Mr. Biden. Even if the polls were in error as much as they were heading into the 2016 election, Mr. Biden would still win a convincing victory in November. That seems unlikely for several reasons: Mr. Trump demoted his campaign manager, Brad Parscale, this week.
