In the fifth minute, King Faisal were close to finding the opener when Ibrahim Osman managed to stick out his right foot to scoop the ball over on-rushing Bilson but it came off the cross-back. WAFA managed to reply but Augustine Boakye's half volley inside the box was a mis-kicked one. Chances were few from King Faisal in the second half after WAFA tightened their midfield after revising the strategy. Mohammed Mustapha picked the ball up and made no mistake in putting it at the back of the net.
