Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said the successes included the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) bringing down indexed crime by 7.5%, with 249 cases per 100,000 people in 2019 compared with 269 cases in 2018. “Our Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) conducted 17,582 operations last year, which led to the arrest of 15,876 suspects for various white collar crimes. He added that the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department last year conducted 1,665 joint operations compared to 961 operations the previous year, which was an increase of 73.3%. Abdul Hamid said in a bid to transform the Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID), nine types of operations were introduced to keep the department relevant in its war on drugs. “I hope that the force will make bigger accomplishments this year for the good of the community and the safety of our country, ” he said.
