Alhaji MaiMala Buni, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Yobe, has described the electorate in the state “heroes of democracy” says in that they defied death threats to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari. Buni, in an interview on Thursday in Damaturu, said that the electorate exhibited a high sense of resilience to exercise their franchise. “The people of the North-East and Yobe State in particular, are hugely indebted to Buhari for restoring peace to their communities. He, however, said that the votes produced by the state fell short of expectation due to the earlier postponement of the elections. “Nigerians, irrespective of political and social differences should support Buhari in his relentless efforts to build a strong, united and prosperous country” Buni said.
