Honda Automobiles Thailand has given the Civic Hatchback its mandatory mid-life update after giving one to the sedan sibling at the start of this year. Mirroring that in the four-door sedan, the Civic Hatchback gains more driver-assist technologies to crucially remain competitive against the just-launched Mazda 3 Sport. Like before, the Civic Hatchback is available with just one engine: 173hp 1.5-litre petrol-turbo that’s not only pokier but also more fuel-efficient than the 3 Sport’s 165hp 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit. However, the five-door Civic is now pricier than the similarly styled 3 Sport, which retails at 1.198 million baht in range-topping SP spec. The pre-facelift Civic Hatchback went for 1.169 million baht without the RS look.
