Abidoye said Nigerian politicians and the electorate should display political and spiritual maturity by conducting their campaigns in a peaceful manner. The cleric stated this in his New Year message to Nigerians, which he read to his congregation on Sunday. “2018 is another year of engaging in campaigns, politicking and political arithmetic, either to gain power or retain power. Please, let’s be politically and spiritually mature and be careful not to engage in politics of bloodshed,” Abidoye said.
