A total of 8,752 aspiring lawyers are set to take the 2018 Bar examinations, records at the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) showed. The number is 1, 525 higher than the examinees who were approved to take the exam last year at 7,227. The Bar Examination Committee is chaired by Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano Del Castillo. The number of examinees this year is the highest since 2000.
