LAHORE: Pakistani flag was hoisted on a 200-foot-high tower at the Ganda Singh Wala border, which the country shares with its eastern neighbour India. Multan Commander Corps Lieutenant General Abdullah Dogar hoisted the national flag at the border near Kasur city. Earlier this year, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, hoisted the biggest Pakistani flag at the Wagah border (Lahore) on August 14. The tower on which the flag was hoisted is said to be 400 feet tall- the largest in South Asia. The day, a public holiday, started with a 21-gun salute in the capital cities of Pakistani provinces, with the national flag hoisted at principal government buildings.
