JAMALPUR, April 6, 2026 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) will soon distribute air flow machines among farmers to help preserve onion, a highly perishable crop. According to the DAE office, 20 farmers in the district will receive the machines as incentives. Each farmer will get one air flow machine along with Tk 28,000 in cash to upgrade onion storage facilities. Around 300 maunds of onion can be preserved for up to nine months using the air flow machines.
